There are many active angling associations and fishing clubs offering everything from extensive match programmes to specimen carp hunting, pleasure angling on farm fishing pools to fly fishing for trout or spinning for pike on flowing rivers.
Unlike the southwest of England or East Anglia it is not known for angling holidays but there are a few B&Bs with their own fishing and several lakes offering mobile home accommodation for a week's break.
