It is on the opposite side of Abb Scott Lane to the south of Harold Park. There are two entry points to the fishery, one from Lingdale Road over a stile in to the field and one from off the A641 Woodside Road and up the old lane... Shelf DamFisherySatellite View Shelf Dam is in fact two dams. The first dam is an old mill dam with room for about 13 anglers. It is a deep lake for its size and the bottom of the lake angles down to a depth of about 20 feet in the middle. The dam wall and opposite platforms ends start shallow in the edges at about 3 feet, but deepen off quickly. The other two sides of the dam drops off to 10 at the edge, so care is needed. It is a quite setting in its own private grounds... We have recently enlarged the water and turned it into a 22 peg, match lake as part of the main lake project. The pond contains a mixed species head of fish from smaller stock examples (carp, tench, roach, rudd and small skimmer bream) to larger, mature fish. With the depth varying from 1-2.5m (the old side being the deeper) there are lily pads beginning to mature and hold fish. The club has designated the water a ‘members' only fishery...
