At one end of the water there is massive growth of reeds, which mark the start of the nature reserve and a no fishing rule. The water has some good depths with places dropping down to beyond 15ft. These deeper holes are the better places to target the large pike that run up to 32 lb when the weather drops colder. The average depth is between 5 and 10 ft throughout. The water is an old clay pit and as a result carries colour at all times of the year, which can assist with fishing during the winter months... Moorfield Farm Fishery - GooleInformationSatellite View This water boasts a newly opened purpose built match lake, to compliment the established pleasure lake. The waters are situated on farmland which offer plenty of parking and also an on site toilet. If you should get on a match there refreshments will also be available. The banks are very flat, although they may become boggy in winter, which allows good access for those with disabilities. There is hard standing that goes around the waters with metal platforms from which to fish... It is a massive water at 18.5 acres and is generally targeted by the bivvy boys. There are plenty of snags and lily pads to fish to. It is estimated that there is in the region of 100 carp in the water with the best at 43lb. The majority of the carp are over 20lb in weight, with over 10 mirror carp in the 30lbs region... It is a very small water at just over half an acre, with a limited number of pegs. Being on a caravan park, it does get busy during the warmer months with those staying on the park. There are toilet facilities on site and access to the water makes it suitable for anglers with disabilities. The pegs however, are unmade... Southfield Reservoirs - CowickDoncaster & District AASatellite View These Reservoirs are only separated by a strip of land about 8 feet wide, but both are joined to the nearby Aire & Calder Canal. Although massive, they are only shallow - around 3 to 4 feet... Staddlethorpe Pond - GilberdkyeInformationSatellite View; Don't be fooled by this waters name. It is more of a lake than a pond. The facilities are basically non-existent and it is not suited to the disabled angler. There are over 40 pegs to fish from and they are well spread out but don’t forget your trolley!!! There are 43 pegs to choose from which are platformed and most have some sort of feature to fish to. The water has good depths of up to 10 ft in places. What the water does offer is the chance to catch some big chub (up to 6lb) and also ide up to 3lb. There are plenty of carp (including Ghosties) in the 3 to 5lb bracket but also some very big fish approaching the 30lb mark. Most tactics will see you catching with caster being the late evening favourite... The water drops down to between 4 and 6 ft pretty quickly from the bank, and as you go further out it further drops down to 10 ft with a further channel dropping to almost 15 ft. There are 30 pegs to choose from and some quality fish to target. The water holds quite a few carp to 25lb, with most being double figures, as such they are generally targeted using specialist gear baited with boilies or meat on a hair rig...
