South Africa also offers a wide variety of mountain rivers that are home to some of the best trout waters in the African region. Additionally, there are numerous freshwater dams housing monster sized (North American) Bass, (European) Carp and Sharptooth Catfish.
South Africa has a pristine coastline where most of the big Game species can be targeted from the beach as well as from the comfort of a well equiped boat. Record size Cob are caught along the Kwa-Zulu Natal coastline along with big Shark such as the 200 Kilogram Ragged Tooth. Moreover, Monster Tiger Sharks, Hammerheads and Blacktips are also frequently caught.
The different estuaries along the coastline offer a chance for the fly angler or Dropshot enthusiast to test their skill with sought-after target species such as Bone Fish, King Fish and many of the Stingray species that are found frequenting the flats.
